LINCOLNSHIRE — The Okmin name could be part of Stevenson lacrosse until at least 2020. Emily Okmin is a senior defender on Stevenson’s girls lacrosse team. Her three brothers also play lacrosse. The Stevenson senior needed to clear 52 feet, 11 inches in the shot put to qualify for the Class 3A state meet May 16. Maine South alumna Emily Epifanio, a senior catcher on the Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team, was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region first team. Epifanio started 37 of the team’s 39 games and hit .382 with a .488 on-base percentage and a .588 slugging percentage. She finished her career with 27 home runs, the third most in program history.
