1. Concert for a Cause with The Rave and The Cavern Beat, 6 p.m. Saturday
Come join the The Rave and The Cavern Beat, a Beatles tribute band, perform at this charity concert to benefit GiGi’s Playhouse and St. Francis de Sales SPRED Ministry. Columbus Centre Banquets, 365 Surryse Road, Lake Zurich. $10.

2. ‘Meet Me in St. Louis,’ 8 p.m. Saturday
The family-friendly stage adaption of the 1944 MGM film, featuring songs such as “The Boy Next Door,” “Skip To My Lou,” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Performances at 8 p.m. Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through Sept. 21 with an additional performance at 8 p.m. Sept. 19. Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. 3. Mess’d Fest, 2 p.m. Sunday
Kids in grades 6-12 can play messy games with one another. Prizes are awarded for those who get the messiest and bring the most friends. St. Peter United Church of Christ, 47 Church St., Lake Zurich. Free.

4. Fall Bird Hikes with Wendy Paulson, 3:30 p.m. Friday
Get out and enjoy fall bird migration with Barrington area naturalist Wendy Paulson. The group meets in the parking lot on Highland Ave. south of Hillside Ave. Attendees should wear good walking shoes and bring binoculars. Sponsored by Citizens for Conservation and Audubon Chicago Region. RSVP required. Baker’s Lake Nature Preserve, E. Hillside & S. Eastern Avenues, Barrington. Free.

5. Annual Infant Welfare Society Antiques and Treasures in the Field, 9 a.m. Sunday
The sale features over 50 Midwest antique dealers. A selection of food items and baked goods is offered for purchase. 6. Grandparent’s Day and Public Service Project, 2 p.m. Sunday
Kids ages 3-8 can bring their grandparents to the library for a celebration that includes stories about family, crafts to donate to the Ronald McDonald House and snacks. 7. Opening Reception: ‘Views from Brushwood Farm,’ 1 p.m. Sunday
“Views from Brushwood Farm” combines photographs taken by Edward L. Ryerson and drawings by his grandson, Edward Ryerson Ranney. The exhibition runs Sept. 7 to Oct. 30. Brushwood Center, 21850 Riverwoods Road, Deerfield. Free.

8. Interactive Trail Tour, 1 p.m. Sunday
This interactive walk on the award-winning Flint Creek Savannah features QR codes that can be scanned with smartphones. Lemonade will be served. Citizens for Conservation, 459 W. Highway 22, Barrington. Free.
