Illinois Governor Pat Quinn announced that he’ll be living on a minimum wage budget this week, estimated from a $8.25 an hour salary. According to Chicago Sun-Times Early & Often:
Gov. Pat Quinn said Sunday he plans to live the next week on the equivalent of Illinois’ minimum wage as he pushes for a ballot measure on the issue.
Quinn said he’ll live on $79, which is the estimated amount a full-time minimum wage worker has left each week after housing costs, transportation and taxes.
