Stevenson is all set to enjoy the spoils of a terrific two season run. The Patriots, led by Jalen Brunson, will participate in a pair of elite national shootouts this season, the Cancer Research Classic in Wheeling, WV and the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, MA.

“Playing in these prestigious tournaments gives us a chance to experience a lot of great things — top-flight competition, tough road venues, cross country travel and possible sight-seeing to enhance our student athlete time on the road,” Stevenson coach Pat Ambrose said in a release.

Stevenson will play two games in Wheeling, WV. The first is Jan. 2 against St. Louis Chaminade. The Red Devils are led by 6-8 star Jayson Tatum and finished 24-3 last season. Tatum is considered the best player in the national class of 2016 by some recruiting services.

On Jan. 3 the Patriots will take on Gonzaga from Washington, D.C.

Stevenson will face Findlay College Prep from Henderson, NV at the Hoophall Classic on Jan. 17. Findlay is traditionally one of the top teams in the country, producing nine McDonald’s All-Americans and seven NBA players in the past seven years.
