Stevenson Foundation, cross-country team to host 2nd annual Fun(d) Run

The Stevenson High School Foundation and cross-country team will be hosting the second annual Color Fun(d) Run at 9 a.m. on Sept. 14 on the Stevenson High School campus.

The inaugural event last fall drew over 500 participants of all ages and raised over $9,000 to benefit the SHS Foundation’s Kids In Need Fund, which provides Stevenson students in financial need with supplies and a free healthy breakfast every day.

This year organizers expect at least 750 participants, including Stevenson students, parents, and staff, as well as many younger children, families and community members at large. Participants are encouraged to form teams.

Runners and walkers in this lively, untimed 5K event encounter rainbows of safe, vibrantly colored powders at points throughout the route, culminating in a massive color-throwing fest at the finish line.

Entertainment is provided by the Stevenson Band and DJ Club.
