Dave Rudolf will perform an acoustic music concert on Aug. 13 in Mudelein.

Fans will see and hear a different side of a popular family entertainer during Acoustic Music with Dave Rudolf, 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. The concert won’t be as raucous as Rudolf’s popular Beach Parties but it should be equally entertaining for older kids and adults.

“This show is geared to my adult music without all the interactive features of my kids’ show,” Rudolf said. He added. “These shows are fun as well. I can never be serious an entire show.”

The Gold Record winner and Grammy-nominated artist (for songs he wrote for Disney) is serious about his music, though. He has recorded 29 albums — a dozen for kids and 17 for adults. The show will include original tunes as well as covers of such artists as the Beatles, James Taylor and Cat Stevens.

There’s a good chance that Rudolf will harmonize with a trio known as the Three Wise Guys.
