Summer’s winding down, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Head out to a festival or take it down a notch with an outdoor yoga class, with our picks of the top 12 things to do around Lincolnshire this weekend. 1. Booze, Brews and Blues, noon Saturday
The event features area brewers Emmett’s Brewing Co. and Spiteful Brewing along with over 30 selections of spirits and beer. A beverage tasting ticket includes 12 spirit and beer samples. The Village Tavern serves brats and hand-pulled pork sandwiches throughout the day and the Rockin’ Johnny Blues Band plays from 4-7 p.m. The Village Tavern, 135 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. $20 for a beverage tasting ticket.

2. Lake County Fair, 10 a.m. Friday
The five-day fair includes livestock barns, grandstand events, a beer garden, the Chicago Flower and Garden Show, an antique tractor parade, vendors and more. Visit www.lcfair.com/home for a full schedule. The fair opens at 10 a.m. daily through July 27. Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake. $5-$10.

3. ‘Legally Blonde,’ 7 p.m. Saturday
Cricket Theatre Company presents “Legally Blonde,” an upbeat musical based on the popular movie, adapted for young performers and audiences of all ages. To order tickets, email lzcrickettickets@gmail.com. Lake Zurich High School, 300 Church St., Lake Zurich. $9 in advance; $11 at the door.

4. Taste of Lincolnshire, 4 p.m. Friday
This event features multiple local restaurants, businesses, attractions and live entertainment. Lincolnshire Village Hall, One Olde Half Day Road, Lincolnshire. Free.

5. Rockin’ the Blocks, 5 p.m. Friday
Join the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce for the two-day event with food, live entertainment, beer garden and family activities. The event is 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and noon to 11 p.m. Saturday. Downtown Palatine, 50 N. Brockway St., Palatine.

6. Fifth Annual Veteran’s Pig Roast at The Village Tavern, 11 a.m. Saturday
Guests enjoy an outdoor pig roast, craft beer tastings, raffle prizes and entertainment such as giant beer pong and a bean bag toss tournaments. New Odyssey plays music from 5-8 p.m. The Village Tavern, 135 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. $12 for general public; free for active military and veterans.

7. Arts in the Park, 10 a.m. Saturday
Enjoy musical art and create works of art. Participants can learn about acting and participate in visual arts projects. Live entertainment is provided by Palatine Park District and Northwest Special Recreation Association. This event is open to all ages. Towne Square, 150 W. Palatine Road, Palatine. Free.

8. MainStreet Out to Lunch, 11 a.m. Friday
Bring a blanket or lawn chair to Cook Park in downtown Libertyville. An assortment of food vendors will be on hand to sell pizza, sandwiches, Mexican, sushi, salads, barbecue and ice cream. A local band plays music each week. MainStreet Libertyville, 160 E. Cook Ave., Libertyville. Free.

9. Yoga in Nature, 10 a.m. Sunday
Unroll your yoga mat outdoors in the midst of nature with a Master Yoga Instructor. Registration and release form required. For questions, call 847-381-6592. Crabtree Nature Center, 3 Stover Road, Barrington Hills.

10. T-Rexplorers: Fossil Hunters, 2 p.m. Saturday
Become a paleontologist for a little while and dig up a variety of fossils sand bones. This program is for all ages. Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington.

11. Show and Shine Car Show, 10 a.m. Sunday
Come participate in the Blue Oval Performance Car Club fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. Open all collectors and special interest vehicles. Participants’ Choice trophies and Spectators’ Choice trophies will be awarded. Highland Park Ford-Lincoln, 1333 Park Avenue West, Highland Park. $10 registration/donation.

12. Rubber Ducky FUNdraiser, 2 p.m. Saturday
For $5, rent a rubber duck and send it racing down the lazy river. A prize will go to the winner. Proceeds go to the Mundelein Parks Foundation to provide program opportunities to those in need. Rain date is Aug. 2. Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center, 1461 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. $5.
