Lincolnshire, Ill.— July 9, 2014 — Selecting the right book is an ongoing challenge for book groups. Avid readers are passionate about what they do and don’t like in a book, and finding a title that appeals to everyone and fosters thoughtful discussion can be a tough task. The Vernon Area Public Library provides a solution with a unique, after-hours program, “Book Club Bash,” on Friday, July 25, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Book lovers will leave with a long list of book club-worthy titles and loads of inspiration to keep their book club going strong. Hear from:

  • Representatives from Random House, who share quick-fire descriptions of titles ideal for book club discussions
  • Good Book Fairy blogger Lauren Margolin, who facilitates a fun book recommendation exchange among attendees
  • Vernon Area Public Library representatives, who highlights the free resources available at the library that reduce the work of running a book club

Free refreshments and raffle prizes provided by the library and Random House publishers round out the evening.

Because the program is after library hours, registration is required for this program.

This event is free and open to all. Register online at http://bit.ly/bookbash2014, phone at 224-543-1485, or in person at any public service desk in the library.
