Three men face charges in two separate incidents in which police allege neighbors and passersby harassed a Lincolnshire neurologist accused of public indecency.
Jeffrey B. Hooper, 45, of 236 Surrey Lane, Lake Forest, was charged with disorderly conduct for shouting at the accused doctor on May 24, police said.
Morris S. Kharasch, 56, of 1840 Midland Ave., Highland Park, is charged with battery for making physical contact with Hooper in an attempt to defend the doctor, a friend of Kharasch, police said.
Meanwhile, Scott A. Arne, 50, 16 Reliance Lane in Lincolnshire, is charged with two counts of disorderly conduct in connection with a second incident involving the doctor’s child on May 27, police said.
Dr. Jeffrey Frank, 53, of the first block of Kings Cross Drive, turned himself in to Deerfield police on May 16, police said. Frank is charged with public indecency and accused of masturbating naked in a hotel room window in view of two children.
While Frank hosted a group of friends on May 24, Hooper allegedly drove by Frank’s house on Kings Cross, honked his car horn and yelled, “Predator!” at Frank, police said.
Kharasch went out to the street to defend his friend, police said. Kharasch allegedly “made physical contact of an insulting nature and provoking nature” with Hooper, according to police.
No arrests were made at the time, but on June 10, both Hooper and Kharasch turned themselves in to Lincolnshire police, police said.
On May 27, Arne allegedly told Frank’s daughter that her father “should commit suicide” and also yelled at a woman nearby, police said. Arne turned himself in to Lincolnshire police on June 11.Tags: Crime, Deerfield, Highland Park, Jeffrey Frank, Lake Forest, Lincolnshire
