Police investigating Lincolnshire home invasion

Updated: December 7, 2012 5:00PM

LINCOLNSHIRE — Officers from three police departments responded to a home invasion at the Beacons Fields subdivision at approximately 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Detective John Erik Anderson, with the Lincolnshire police department, said nobody was injured and the victims believe money was taken from the home.

“This is an isolated incident,” Anderson said. “We’re confident it was not someone just walking down the street.”

Anderson declined to comment on whether or not a suspect was found at the scene, nor would he disclose how the intruder gained entry to the home. He did say the department is following leads.

To the best of his knowledge, Anderson said police have not visited the home in recent months.

Beacon Fields subdivision is located just west of the Milwaukee Avenue and Half Day Road intersection.

The Vernon Hills and Riverwoods police departments assisted on the call.
